William Kossler received
BM (1980) and MM (1984) degrees in Guitar Performance
from the University of South Carolina as a student
of Christopher Berg. In l985 Mr. Kossler was awarded
a Rotary International Grant for one year of study
with Dr. Shinichi Suzuki and Mr. Toshio Takahashi
at the Talent Education Institute in Japan. After
graduating from the Institute he helped found the
Suzuki Association of the Americas Guitar Committee.
Mr. Kossler is a co-author of the Suzuki Guitar Method
and he serves on the Guitar Committee of the Suzuki
Association of the Americas.
In addition to teaching a private Suzuki Guitar
program in Winston Salem, Mr. Kossler teaches with
the Davie County Public Schools. He conducts workshops
in Suzuki-based guitar pedagogy around the U.S. and
internationally and is on the Performing Artists Roster
of the North Carolina Arts Council. His wife Lauren,
a violinist, performs with the Winston-Salem Symphony
and teaches privately. The Kosslers have three boys,
Adam (24) working as a graduate assistant towards
a Masters Degree in guitar performance at Appalachian
State University, Sam (21) at the Savannah School
of Art and Design, and John (17) an 12th grader at
the North Carolina School of the Arts High School,
all of whom play guitar. The family performs together
occasionally. |

Stephen Bondy has been active as
a teacher and performer for 20 years. He studied at
Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada
where he received a bachelor's degree in guitar performance.
He went on to get his master's in guitar performance
at the University of Denver. He has been teaching Suzuki
Guitar (and loving it!) since 2001. He has a full, thriving
studio in Denver, Colorado. Stephen is also a husband
and father of two children, a certified Music Together
teacher, and is also pursuing certification in Dalcroze
Eurhythmics. |
